Using Yoga Retreat

Gaining the discipline and confidence to do yoga without a teacher present can take years of tuition. Played throughout, Yoga Retreat provides a balanced one hour yoga session, allowing you to practise independently.

Combining tracks

Yoga Retreat is also designed to be fully programmable according to the listener's needs. It's an ideal tool for helping you integrate yoga into your life on a regular basis. Here are some suggested combinations...

  • Energise: Poses to lift your spirits. Tracks 04, 05, 06, 09, 12, 13 then 16. (22 min)

  • Chill out: A calming combination to sooth and relax. Tracks 02, 06, 07, 14, 15 then 17. (37 min)

  • Relief from sitting: Recover from working at a desk or travelling. Tracks 02, 05, 07, 12 then 13. (20 min)

  • Wake up: Ease away early morning stiffness with a short, gentle warm up. Track 02 (10 min)

  • Tranquilise: Practise abdominal breathing anywhere. Try it on the train to work. Track 15 (4 min)

  • Sleep well: Wind down at the end of the day with a deep, guided relaxation. Track 17 (15 min)

Preparing your retreat

To make the most of your practice you should have a mat, block (or folded towel) and a belt. Wear comfortable clothes that don't restrict your movement. Prepare a space that's warm, quiet and without too many distractions. Remind those you live with not to disturb you, turn off your mobile, take the phone off the hook, close the door and enjoy your retreat.
